Mysterious Orbs
Orbs at Asilomar - spiritual
presences or natural phenomena?
At our recent conference at Asilomar
in July, one of our members, Sue Hayes, introduced us to the orb
phenomana by taking digital photos at 2 spiritual sites she found
there through her dowsing. Upon seeing the photos, other participants
became interested, and we are sharing the results with you here.
What
are the Orbs? One would like to believe that they
are spirit entities who are now manifesting in physical reality
through the medium of digital photography, however no one really
knows. The orbs can be more easily captured outside at night with
a flash digital camera (their infra-red magnetic field reflects
the light of the flash). A garden is a good place to start photographing
them - note: you often have to take many photos before you see
them on the camera screen.
Don't
give up if at first you do not see any orbs in your photos. For
many of these pictures we had to enhance the light spectrum in
order to bring out the orbs since they are so delicate.
For most people, they are not visible
to the naked eye. We invite you to research further and see what
you think.
Orbs are believed by some to be
elemental entities of the plant world. Sometimes referred to as
"devas".
Sue Hayes says: "I first heard
about Orbs and saw slides of them in early July when I was at
an American Dowsing Conference in Santa Cruz. I understood
that you could photograph them with a digital camera, although
very few people can see them with the naked eye (I only met 2
people at Asilomar who could actually see them).
"A
year ago when I was at Asilomar I discovered (by asking questions
via my dowsing rods) that there are a couple of spiritual vortex
sites on the Asilomar grounds, so I thought that would be a good
place to start photographing orbs as the "veil" is thinner at
a vortex site. One site is behind Merrill Hall and the other is
centered around the Chapel. No one really knows what the orbs
are, apparently they started appearing to many people about 8
years ago. I did a deep meditation to contact the orbs, and they
appeared as fairies (devic entities) and I was told that the colors
represented a heirarchy. I had this validated by a psychic in
my meditation group who "felt" the devic energy enamating from
the photographs."
Ilona Marshall: "I
took these pictures into the darkness at Asilomar (Monterey) Conference
grounds. I had invoked the orbs (Beings of Light) to show themselves
as I wanted to honor them, and they came!"

At the wedding of her son, our Region
Coordinator, Julie Hilt, took snapshots using a digital camera
with a flash. There was no intent to capture Orbs or any other
entity, but she was surprised and delighted to discover that in
a few of the photos several Orbs had come to witness and bless
the event.
