On
May 1st, 2007, Julie Hilt, a long time member of A.R.E. officially assumed
the duties of Region Coordinator for the Northern California/Northern
Nevada Region of the A.R.E. Upon appointment to this position, Julie
hit the ground running and helped to fill in for Laura Moe, outgoing
Region Coordinator. Laura was called to assist and support her daughter
whose new baby was born with physical challenges and needed his family's
full attention. Laura did a wonderful job over the past year and a half,
helping us to transition from our first Region Coordinator, Grethe Tedrick.
Laura decided to step down to focus on her business which needed her
full attention. Those of us who worked with Laura are extremely grateful
for her service and guidance during a period of change and growth for
the Region. We wish her well and are grateful that she has chosen to
continue to work with the Region as Youth Group Coordinator especially
at the Asilomar Conferences. And we welcome Julie Hilt as she accepts
the challenge of continuing the transition of our leadership teams.
Julie was born and raised in London, England, but now
considers California her home having lived here for the last 11 years.
Her formative metaphysical years were spent in the Spiritualist church
where she studied and trained with some the best mediums and healers
in the country. The solid foundation gained under the tutelage of these
great teachers helped set the stage for a life long love of learning
about the ways of the Spirit.
Julie was an active member of the World Federation
of Healers where she served as a trustee for the organization, as well
as a healer trainer. She is a member of Unity Church of the Valley in
Vacaville, and has served as a member of the board of directors, taught
the youth of Unity, and orchestrated several community events to help
raise funds for the church.
Over the years, Julie and her healer husband, Grayland,
have presented numerous workshops for the Region. The Hilt's have worked
with a wide variety of clients that includes amputees, cancer patients,
people with muscle degenerative diseases, heart conditions, and brain
tumors. Not all of their clients have physical manifestations; many
are seeking spiritual clarity, and/or emotional and mental healing to
better cope with the pressures of daily life.
Julie Hilt, C.Ht, is a graduate of the Eastern Institute
of Hypnotherapy and holds a B.S. in Metaphysics. She enjoys the peace
and wisdom gained from contemplative prayer and meditation.
Of her experience with the Edgar Cayce work, Julie
writes:
"Back in 1994, Grayland was serving in the U.S. Air
Force. We were stationed in Guam. I do believe the last new book the
base library purchased was a first edition of There is a River by Thomas
Sugrue (published in 1943). I checked out the battered, worn, green
fabric covered book (the cover of which was barely hanging on), and
read it in one day. Since then, my life has never been the same. That
was my first introduction to Edgar Cayce and I was completely hooked!
Although the reincarnation readings were my first attraction, I never
cease to be amazed by the richness of truth that lies within Cayce's
14,000 plus readings.
Ever since that first introduction, I have been blessed
with 'Cayce' guidance in dreams on a regular basis. Shortly after arriving
in California, I was particularly fed up with everything and nothing.
One day, I found myself having a good old moan inside my head to anyone
who would listen. I wanted to know where my life was going, and what
I was supposed to be doing. On and on I complained about being frustrated.
Later that night, I dreamt that Princess Diana came into my living room,
sat down in my pink chintz armchair that had followed me from London,
and asked if I had read any books by Lynn Sparrow. I said that I had
not. She replied that she had only read one, but that it was very good.
The first thing I did upon waking the next day was to research Lynn
Sparrow on the Internet, as I had no idea who she was. At that time,
Lynn was presenting reincarnation/past life programs for the A.R.E.,
and was also a presenter in the Hypnotherapy Program. I called Lynn
that day and she referred me to her book 'Reincarnation, Claiming Your
Past, Creating Your Future'. That was the beginning of a series of events
that led to my first visit to Virginia Beach, and to my becoming certified
as a hypnotherapist.
The work of Edgar Cayce has touched every part of my
life and continues to enrich and ennoble my spirit. I hope you will
all join me in furthering this great legacy and help to broaden the
reach of this magnificent body of work. Thank you for your continued
support of the Edgar Cayce legacy."
